New updates:
1. I'm FINALLY starting at Puma.
I've had the job for over a month but endless paperwork and other nonsense has cause quite a hold.
2. Not going home this summer, staying in Chicago and working a bunchhhh.
Coming home on occasion to take family trips to STL to see my brother play some ball.
3. I've been single now for a few weeks. men are just ridiculous.
4. Going to see Indiana Jones tonight with my Leah Potter, my long lost lover.
5. Cornerstone is a little over a month away!! Who's going?
6. Lollapalooza wants me this year. The line up blows my mind.
Just to name a few of my favs: Kanye West, Radiohead, Bloc Party, Lupe Fiasco, Cat Power, Explosions in the Sky, Iron & Wine, Girl Talk, Chromeo, The Cool Kids, and soo many more good bands.

and i'm sorry.
i've just been one busy bee these past 2 weeks. agh. and that's not always a good thing.
school is kickin my butt, big time. i haven't had this much homework in such a long time.
i feel like i complain about that every day and i'm not normally one for complaining.
On another note, i got back from minneapolis on sunday. it was a long drive, 6 hours there and back by my lonesome.
it's a really good thing i enjoy driving and being by myself. ha. too bad it rained the whole drive... and snowed once i got to minneapolis. the trip was amazing though. got to spend some good quality time with my best friend and some other of my loves from north central. then spent two days with my lucas and some of the nebraska & utah boys. love them.
it was tough saying goodbye but the boyfriend and his family are coming may 9th to chicago to visit! simply can't wait.
so listen, this whole going to school all year round is nonsense. all my friends are almost done with school and i'm literally right in the middle...i just took midterms. i get that i'll be done earlier but having 1 month off for summer is just gnarly. seriously. oh well. i'm over it. i think.
to all you springfield babies: i'm coming home this weekend so let's hang out. please and thank you.
sidenote/ i love this kid more than anything.

Okay so here's some updates:
- Got a job at Puma! I thought I was gonna go crazy if I had to spend another week jobless.
Too bad I have to wait 2 weeks to even start working because the mandatory drug test needs to processed.
And I was just informed we get a whole bunch of free stuff every 2 months. YEAHHHH.
- Still goin to Minneapolis next weekend! So excited to see my best frannn and also best boyfrannn.
- School is straight up nonsense this quarter, so much homework. Retail buying is going to kill me.
- I'm pretty sure they overdosed my kitties when they got declawed...its almost been a week since their surgery and all
they do is sleep all day, which isn't what they usually do. Weird.
- It's soooo nice outside today, I'm feelin a picnic. I'll go do that.

Just picked up my kitties from the vet from being declawed (FINALLY).
they just seem so exhausted. poor babies.
So I interviewed for a assistant buyer job at Urban Outfitters about a week ago.
...and I didn't get it. I'm content though. I prayed a lot about it before hand and it must not of been a part of God's plan.
Of course, God has a backup plan for everything. I found out today I didn't get the job and not even 30 minutes later I got a call from a friend of mine that works at Steve Madden shoe store and they offered me a job and want me to come in tonight.
Prayer does wonders. You should try it sometime : ]
I'll be going to Minneapolis in two weeks to see two of my favorite people: lovely best fran, Brittle and my boyfran Lucas. I'll be one happy Christine that much is true.
Good things ahead. I'm esssited.

Had a lazy day.
Woke up late, did some yoga, went to theeeee nicest thrift store i've ever been to.
Scored a painting for $3 by one of my favorite artists, Henri de Toulouse Lautrec. He's brilliant.
 It's been a stressful weekend but I'm remaining optimistic. I've got too many things to be happy about to let one weekend get me down. :] |
